Seat Belts

The pilot in command of the flight must ensure each person on board the airplane is briefed on how to fasten and unfasten their safety belt. The PIC ensure each person is notified to fasten their seat belt during taxi, takeoff, and landing.

The pilot must be in the pilot seat with his or her seat belt fastened at all times the airplane is moving. If the airplane has a shoulder harness, the pilot may remove the shoulder harness during cruise flight, or at any time if it restricts the pilot's ability to fly the airplane.

Parachutes

Each person on board the airplane must be wearing an approved parachute if passengers are carried and the airplane is intentionally banked more than 60 degrees left or right, or pitched more than 30 degrees nose up or down.

Parachutes must have been packed by an FAA certified rigger within 180 days if made from synthetic fibers, or within 60 days if made from natural fibers.
